If you're looking for the ultimate holiday destination in Argentina, Villa Llao Llao might be just what you need. Situated roughly 24 km from San Carlos de Bariloch on the shore of Lake Moreno, this little holiday village has everything you could want from a relaxing holiday resort destination. Not only does it feature a booming commercial area where you can shop around at your leisure, but it also has beaches, a harbor and stunning hotels. And as if that wasn't enough, Llao Llao is set in the most beautiful Patagonian valley and features breathtaking scenery.
Llao Llao was created in the 90s when the Llao Llao Hotel was built here. The village that sprang up around the hotel is a testament to the incredibly natural beauty of the area. A favorite wedding destination, Llao Llao has a beautiful chapel where you can tie the knot with your loved one. Saint Edward's Chapel is situated on the top of a hill and is not only pretty but enjoys excellent panoramic views. After the wedding many newlyweds head off to the Llao Llao Hotel where they start their honeymoon. However you don't have to be a newlywed to appreciate this lovely little village. You can simply book in at any of the hotels in Llao Llao and enjoy this little piece of paradise for yourself.
One of the best things to do here, besides simply relaxing and enjoying the clean mountain air, is to visit the Llao Llao Municipal Park. The Park is a protected nature reserve of approximately 1200 hectares. The area is incredibly beautiful and features views of the Llao Llao peninsula and Conejos Island. Visitors to the park will see plenty of plant life and perhaps even a few reptiles, birds and small mammals. The Llao Llao Municipal Park stretches right down to the river and the varied terrain makes for a pleasant excursion. If you're not afraid of water, head to Puerto Pañuelo (Pañuelo harbor) for a catamaran trip across the lake. Llao Llao is beautiful, scenic and peaceful - what more could you possibly want from a holiday destination?
