Observation towers were erected to minimize human traffic to the falls. On the American side of the Niagara Falls, the Prospect Point Park Observation Tower offers visitors magnificent views of the falls, and the Maid of the Mist docks here. There is also the Cave of the Winds to explore from Goat Island, as well as the Power Portal and the Three Sisters Islands. The Nikola Tesla statue can be seen at the Power Portal. Visitors can also opt for a helicopter ride or helium balloon ride to discover these wonders. The Seneca Indian Tribe established the Seneca Niagara Casino in the old Niagara Convention Centre building.
If on the Canadian side, visitors will be able to look forward viewing both the Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls from Queen Victoria Park that offers viewing platforms and breathtaking lawns. The Skylon Tower also offers an observation deck, as well as the Minolta Tower. There is a Niagara Recreational Trail, the historical 1812 sites of Fort George and Fort Erie, the Whirlpool Aero Car and two casinos and hotels, namely the Casino Niagara and the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort.
