Even if you cannot make it at the time of the Calgary Stampede there are many other attractions in Calgary. Make your way to the Aerospace Museum where you can examine items used in aviation as well as aircraft from World War Two. Calgary Zoo is located on St. George's Island. It house 388 rare animal species. Visitors can also visit the botanical gardens and the prehistoric theme park. The Olympic Hall of Fame takes patrons through Olympic history. The Calgary Science Center will appeal the the entire family. Here you can check out interactive displays and experiments. Heritage park transports you back to the time of pioneers. Surrounded by over 100 historical buildings, visitors can also hop aboard an old paddle-steamer.
