i'm not really sure whether this is really a traditional belgian food but last 2 months, i went to visit my boyfriend's family in Vezon, Belgium. his mother is a flemmish and his father is a belgian.. for lunch his mother 'ensembled' for me mashed tuna with pepper and salt to taste stuffed in halved peach. then it is served together with hard boiled egg and some bread and mayonise.. although it tasted funny but i liked it though (but not to make it into my staple diet!) then i tried escargot (snails).. they were buttered and baked with some garlic and as usual salt and pepper to taste. they even have this special plater to serve the escargot...it's one of belgian delicacy and i tell you it was very difficult for this asian throat to swallow it... enough that i'd tried it once...so, all the best for your research!!!
