Snorkeling and Scuba Diving

Note that scuba diving however is strictly forbidden along the coast, unless under the supervision of a diving school, in order to protect Greece's underwater antiques.

Greece is covered by mountains, many of which reach over 2000 meters, and there are 18 ski resorts in the country. Most ski resorts operate from the end of December until mid-April. Very few people think of Greece as a skiing destination, because of its Mediterranean climate, but rather think of it as a place to come to when the Alps are a little crowded. The hotels and ski resort in Greece has lots to offer and they have excellent facilities.

Greece is very mountainous which is perfect for hiking and trekking. The countryside of Greece is crisscrossed with goat and donkey track, as well as some other wild animals. The small hiking paths link most villages, which will give you the chance to meet all the Greek cultures. Most of hiking paths here are amongst the best in the world and they are very well maintained.

Greece can provide ample entertainment for your children. Greece has a variety of beaches which are shallow and sandy, safe for young children or those learning how to swim. There are a number of playgrounds in different areas in different towns and many convenient places with children activities to eat at. Kolimbithres has a large Aqua Park, owned by a hotel Complex. It has water slides and a Go Kart facility. This outing will undoubtedly make every child's day.
