Situated some 14km from the ancient city of Rhodes, Faliraki is a beautiful seaside resort not to be missed. Established in the 1960s, Faliraki began with a few tavernas, serving mostly locals. But it doesn't end there, Faliraki also boasts another five bays each with a unique feel. Kathara bay is a mixture of sandy beach and step rocks creating a gorgeous panorama. Nearby is the nudist beach - for the more adventurous. The bay of Anthony Quinn has been made famous as it has been used in many well known films. At Ladiko you will find a fascinating seals cave as well as the fortress of Erimakastro. The remaining two beaches are Kallithea and Traganou, a pebble beach. All of Faliraki's beaches have received the European Union's Blue Flag Environmental award due to their stunningly clean coastline.

There is just so much to do in Rhode's Faliraki, you will never have to battle boredom. Many facilities are available for those interested in water sports. Check out the water skiing and windsurfing schools. Enjoy a ride on a banana-boat or pedal boat. Adrenaline junkies will have a great time jet skiing, parachuting or bungee jumping. The fantastic water park and water slides will keep both children and adults entertained for hours. Diving and snorkelling in the transparent waters will leave you in awe of this magical underwater world. Want to take a break from the water? Make your way to the Kalithies-Afandou golf course.

Another pastime Faliraki is famous for is clubbing and pub-crawling. Along the main road you will have a host of bars and pubs to choose from. Dance through till the early hours at one of the nightclubs. Have the party of your life in Faliraki. Those seeking a more quiet and relaxing evening can amble alone to a café and enjoy something to drink. Alternatively try out one of Faliraki's fabulous restaurants. You can choose from a variety of cuisine such as Greek, Italian and Chinese.
