The majority of the attractions in Milan can be found in or around the city centre. Once you've had enough of soaking in this cities incredible history, you might try a detour down Via Montenapoleone - a street known for its fashion connections. Here you will find one of the largest concentrations of international fashion designers. You might even be fortunate enough to see a fashion show showcasing the latest in design. Or if you prefer, you can spend some time relaxing on the shores of one of Milan's many beautiful lakes - perhaps taking in a scrumptious meal and a glass of fine wine as you do so.
In general, you will likely find accommodation to be quite pricy - a testament to the popularity of the city as a destination. It should be noted that Italian accommodation is rated on the star grading system and that the ratings of the accommodation will affect the price. All sorts of accommodation are available to suit different tastes and pockets. It is also wise to stay away during the tourist season - from July to August - as prices skyrocket at this time of year and accommodation is virtually impossible to find. Apart from this fact, Milan is wonderful place to visit should you ever be fortunate enough to do so.
