Explore these Activities in Singapore

There are a large variety of activities available on Singapore. Whether you are young or old, you are sure to find something to cater to your tastes and energy levels. Due to a certain level of westernization, many of the activities you can expect to enjoy here are either copied from or are derived from other western countries. Don't let that deter you, however, and you can still enjoy the local people while indulging in these activities.

With the increase in nighttime spending, Singapore's nightlife scene has grown significantly. You will be able to find bars, discos and nightclubs plentiful in this friendly country. You can enjoy wine, cigars and a game of pool or perhaps take in the cultural scene by enjoying an orchestra or a theatrical production. There are also a number of street markets which are open at night. You can also join the locals for a fun game of karaoke should you feel inclined to do so. Orchard Road, Boat Quay, Clarke Quay are great places to visit if you are looking for some entertainment. Marina South is another great place if you are looking for something a bit more relaxed. There are also a number of cinemas as well as a variety of cultural shows which can be enjoyed across the island.

Land Activities

Bike Hashing is just one of the many great activities which are popular with tourists and locals in Singapore. Or perhaps you would prefer to try your hand at climbing or cycling. Both activities are available at various points around the island and when renting a bicycle you can choose between park trails and dirt biking.

Golf resorts and Gyms are also available throughout the country as are tennis, squash and badminton courts. Jogging trails are also plentiful. If you enjoy a different challenge, you might try horse riding, cricket or paint ball. If you prefer to watch horses do their stuff you might try placing your bet at the local Singapore Turf Club.

Water Activities

Sailing, scuba diving and skiing are just some of the fantastic water sports that are popular off Singapore's vast coast. Or you could try your hand at Canoeing by hiring a canoe from one of the many private operators at Changi Point. Canoes can be hired as either single or double-seaters and are good value for money. Windsurfing is popular with sea-sport enthusiast while White water rafting in relatively mile to grade five waters is the perfect fix for those seeking some adrenalin.
