Gothenburg is a city filled with excitement. Liseberg is the biggest amusement park in Scandinavia and features Scandinavia's largest wooden coaster. Pay a visit to the Universeum (the national science discovery centre) and to the Museum of World Culture with its fascinating exhibits. Gothenburg is well known for hosting large events such as the 1995 World Athletics Championships as well as major music performances. In August each year the Gothenburg party is held.
